Monday: Dr. Martin Luther King day

Tuesday: Students complete a circle map (formative quiz grade) on Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. Students must have 12 facts to obtain a 100. Extra credit may be given for additional facts. Students also completed a flee map to guide them in the 5 paragraph essay about Martin Luther King Junior. Homework: Write introductory paragraph.

Wednesday: Students will work on their rough drafts of their essay. Essays are due (summative grade) by Friday, January 20th. Homework: Work on essay and study Greek/Latin vocabulary words.

Thursday: Final drafts are written. Homework: Study Greek/Latin words and put finishing touches on essay.

Friday: Quiz over Greek/Latin vocabulary words(formative grade)- Moved to Monday.  and Dr. Martin Luther King Junior essay due. Begin “Number the Stars” or student selected novel (for those who have read “Number the Stars.”
