Monday, November 9 Media Center to check out books and type up Coat of Arms project. Parents, please send in poster board with your student. Thank you! Students can earn extra credit by bringing in more than one poster board. Coat of Arms project is due Friday, November 13th.

Want extra credit? Bring in two or more poster boards (for each extra poster board you will receive a coupon for 5 extra points on an upcoming quiz). Also, work on Book Talk which is an extra credit project due on November 18.

Today we watched and discussed a Brainpop video on Biography. Username and password is ecobb.

We then created a double bubble map comparing and contrasting autobiography and biography.

Tuesday, November 3

Today we read the first section of “Zlata’s Diary” in our yellow Reader’s Journey and answered comprehension questions about this selection.

Wednesday, November 4

Finish reading “Zlata’s Diary” and answer comprehension questions.

Play “Kahoot” to review for test tomorrow over Zlata’s Diary. Quiz tomorrow over Zlata’s Diary using Socrative.

Thursday, November 5

  • Define critical words using Webster’s Dictionary:
  • Take Quiz over “Zlata’s Diary” using Socrative on Ipads
  • Thankful Tree- Students complete a tree using nouns to express their gratitude, ascribe, sensitive, photograph, philosophy, tranquil
  • Create a Quizlet account and “create a set” using this week’s critical words
  • 4th period start Pronoun exercises in Reader’s Journey, p. 68-72.
